Depends if the DVR card has DSOP Overlay for live viewing, this could be why your display is not working.... here are a few things to check..
1/ Is there one card or two, if two is there a conenction between.
2/ Try different drivers, it could be a hardware overlay issue, but that would be more likely to give you broken pixels when zooming or pink screens.
3/ Check that you have the right resolution on the screen for the software and the video card and check that you arent exceeding the rating.
4/ Did you load the software drivers for the video card before the drivers for the DVR software?
5/ If the motherboard has onboard video...did you disable it in the bios? _________________ " You want that camera to go WHERE?!!!!!!@@##$"

i experience this before, did you change your motherboard before that?
sometime ATI display do conflicting the DVR card, since the card is easily to get conflict with the others driver, i believe the DVR card you have only fit into VIA/Intel chipset motherboard, and for me i try all the display card and it work well.

What is your video card? Because the same thing happens with me. It seems that only works with ATI card.

This is the display cards problem, please use ATI display cards.
I've ever faced this problem for several times before, when I use Hardware compression card DS4016HCI and software compression card DVR S9808 etc. _________________ Never too old to learn - Kingwood
