Post subject: Example

Since no one seems to want to break the ice, thought I would post an example. I have one of the LCD monitors on my desk, use it for T/S when I have to phone tech, this is connected to my computer and it is a very nice piece of equipment. I would like to have one at home. This monitor has the capability for VGA, Composite and Audio connections. The Part #*LCD-***, is a very adaptable and useful monitor, with the various connections, you can connect both your computer and DVR and use the select button to switch back and forth. Hope this helps one of you to win whichever prize you select. Good luck and get posting. _________________ Pegasus CCTV Tech support Rick www.pegasuscctv.com

Post subject: PLCD 17B Monitor Rocks!
|
| |
 |
|
I am requesting to enter this contest to win the PLCD 17B monitor. I am not trying to win this for myself, as I am only trying to make my wife happy. The monitor that I am presently using is a large monster that takes up too much of my desk space, and there is not much space left for paper work. No I do not have the sliding tray for the keypad, and the mouse. Actually my desk is a couple of 1X4 layed acrossed some cinderblocks, and it is very, very rickity. If I could win this fine product from www.pegasuscctv.com then I could open up some desk top area to make my wife very happy. She is so afraid that this monitor is going to come tumbleing down off this "desk", and that it will crush me to death! I would love to place the PLCD 17B monitor upon my desk, and I would like to let my wife know that there is no fear of it falling upon me, and crushing me to death! I would love to upgrade my monitor where I would be able to switch between my computer, and my video surveillance system at a touch of a button. My wife thinks that I spend too much of my time volunteering my time at www.cctvforum.com, and I have to minimize my screen, and jump off the computer, and run to my easy chair before she comes in to the house. Little does she know that I spend my time on the computer at the shop when she is not around!! If I could have a monitor that would allow me to switch video sources then I would be able to see when my wife is approaching the front door, and I could squeeze one more sentence on a post to help a DIY (do it your selfer) with their troubles, and pains with their video surveillance systems, and I can keep myself out of trouble with my wife!! When she comes home I would like her to think that I have just been sitting around waiting for her come home, and not spending all of my free time on the internet. Thank you for this opportunity to better my life with the addition of just one simple product! _________________ Scorpion

I would like to enter the contest and vote for the PBCC-36 camera. Why vote for this device you ask? Simple, value! This 12 Volt DC 3.6mm Color bullet camera is an amazingly versatile camera and can provide great video in most circumstances. They are small, easy to mount and install and have a nice wide feild fo view. For residential security, they fit everytime. I love a nice color bullet camera like this becuase it always surprises people when you point them out because they have a way of blending in. It is just an al around great value for the average consumer and that is why it get's my vote!

I want to win and vote for the PVBCC-49AIAC. It looks cool and is lot better quality camera than the Q-See cameras I installed on my house. Everytime it rains I have to remove camera to clear the condensation on the glass. I exchanged them numerous times, but it ends up happening again. I gave up on those cameras and lost interest in CCTV. I would like get hold off some decent cameras and give it another shot.

I would go for the PLCD 17B monitor, I cannot compete against scorpion in writting the best reason in why to get it, but for me, it will be the only way that I'll use a LCD for CCTV purposed, because I just don't believe in them.
So in that case, I vote for scorpion (since he's the only one that has entered anyway), to get the monitor, as long as he sends me a picture of it with him smiling

I would like to vote for the PVBCC-49AIAC because it has high resolution and external focus rings. Would love to see how it works on my house. I would exchange it for a bullet camera that I have on my house now that has some kind of off color to it. Thanks Ronnie

I would like to vote for the PLCD-17B 17" LCD Video Monitor. I want to give it to a local Mosque, www.masjidannur.com and use it as a display to let people know they are being video recorded.
Unfortunatelly, this mosque, and others in the area have fallen victim to theft and hate crimes, and hopefully by adding this it will make people think twice before they do something.
If they get it I will post a picture of it after it's mounted!

I am placing my vote on the PVBCC-49AIAC 24vac color camera.
I have two interests in this camera, spread over time.
My first interest is to place this camera in my office. I am a Loss Prevention Manager for a big box retail company. Unfortunately, my store is the red-headed stepchild of the company, and as such, am last to get equipment, and frequently, just dropped from the list. (I've been promised Intellex for 3 years, and was just told that I am not to expect it... ever). When I came into the job, there were 12 cameras working. By repairs, fixing cables, buying off ebay, and bringing in my own personal cameras I have gotten up to 42 cameras. The company and store I previously worked for has atleast 4 times that many cameras, so obviously I feel a bit naked. But, I digress, one critical area where I do not have a camera in yet is my office, where I bring shoplifters in order to recover the merchandise, interview them, and turn them over to police. Most LP Offices in the industry have a camera in the office. The importance of this is to cover your ass against allegations of misconduct. The demographics of the shoplifters in my area and store are primarally female, and increasingly, addicted to meth (just last week I had one methhead try to run me over). While I always have a female employee as a witness, having video proof that proves that no misconduct occured is better than an employee's word. Also, by having a visible camera in the room, shoplifters tend to act out less, reducing the risk factor, and they know they have no grounds for any allegations of misconduct.
My second interest is personal. When I deploy to Iraq later this year I will be pulling all my personal equipment from the store, in case when I return, I get screwed over (which as illegal as it is, does happen, so I'm covering my own ass). Upon my return, my wife and I intend to build our own house. Naturally, I'll be putting in a CCTV system, with most cameras being exterior. This camera, complete with sun-shield will work nicely to cover either a home or garage chokepoint. While I have several cameras already, most of these are cheap ebay ones for indoor use only, some are 10 year old black and white, in no way fit for outdoor use.
My indoor cameras will return to me to my civilian job if I am re-instated. And while I am gone, my co-worker will have a good time getting corp to replace some of the more important cameras, to include the office camera.
I chose the 24 VAC model because I prefer 24 VAC over 12 VDC. Since most of the cameras in my store are 24 VAC, it is easy to junction into without worrying about polarity. I also intend to use 24 VAC when I build. I have yet to have a 24 VAC camera burn out and die, yet I have had several 12 VDC cameras go offline.

Well I want to win the PLCD-17B
There are a lot of valid points people are making for this, but mine is simple.
My wife and I just bought a house, and now every dollar we earn seems tied to it. I do work in the security field, and I would spread the word of where I won it from, and how it works.
Thanks

I would have to vote for and win the PVBCC-49AIAC camera with the varifocal lens.
I would like to give this camera to my son-in-law for finding this bulletin board and saving me from making the horrible mistakes of purchasing a cheap system and then a bad installer. He, and you, have helped me understand and develop an appreciation for the better equiptment, requirements, installation, setup, and use of CCTV. He reads the board dilligently, in the shadows so to speak. He currently lives in an apartment with his car some distance away from his door and not always in the same place with limited lighting. It has suffered for this, with no way to determine the culprits, and has had no luck with the manager without evidence of who it is, actually been retaliated for speaking up. He has helped me and I want to start him in building a system for himself which he can't afford right now. This would help both with the evidence and as a deterent until he can move.
Thanks,
Gesualdo
