Is anyone pulling Cat6a cable? How much are you charging per run?

Thought you were looking for an installer.
What's the lenght's, difficulty?
Basicaly, I charge Material plus Labor based on estimated time and difficulty.
Lets say 1000' will give you two run's, then it will be the cost plus the labor charge for the time you estimate.
If your looking for a flat rate then I'll say any way from $160-$260 @ 300'

I charge that much for Cat6!!!
I found Cat6a at around $600.00 for 1000'
How much are you paying for cat6a 1000' ? ands Leviton 10G ends?

Ok...becuase i setup wifi access at hotel and just used cat5e

No there is a big difference for networking.
Cat5 can't do 1 gig network
Cat5e can do 1 gig network maximum
Cat6 was designed to do 1 gig network and can it can support 10g for limited distance.
Cat6A can do 10g network for 328ft (100m)
Today Cat6a is not a big deal but in 3 years when you have to tell your customers they have to replace there Cat5e because it can't support 10g then it's a very big and expensive deal.
Cat5e lifespan is 3 to 5 years
Cat6 lifespan is 5 to 10 years
Cat6a lifespan is 10 to 15 years
Cat7 lifespan is over 15 years
We replace are customers computers about every 3 years. So from now on we don't recommend anything less then Cat6.

CAT 7 is quite a change. All pairs are individually shielded and the hardware is not the RJ form factor we are use to.
And those that missed it, CAT6a is different then CAT6 in a major way. CAT6a supports 10GBASE-T at 100m!! It also sweeps to 500MHz vs 250MHz on CAT6.
Hey Mike, I priced 6a awhile back and cable was somewhat more then 5e and the jacks were almost double the cost of 5e. I can't remember the cost of patch panels but it didn't seem to far out of line with CAT6. (all leviton 10G stuff) My prices vary because I tru-bid each job but it usually ballparks at about 150.00 a drop (5e) and that doesn't include MDF build-out.
After hearing the pricing you are finding I am wondering if the pricing I got was wrong? I may reprice that again to see what they say...

This a a great video on what you can do with Cat7.
You can have a 10/100m network, HD video feed, and one telephone line on one Cat7 run.

CAT 7 cable is PHAT! 
Siemon makes a nice system. I wonder where Leviton is with their CAT7 solution?
