Hello,
I am very glad for having found a forum such this one. It is very helpful for me that i am a newbiw in CCTV stuff.
I am working in a big company and we are looking for a cctv solution.
We want to have central management from the HeadQuarters and remote management to 100 "rooms" in a very big geographical area.
We are going to have 2 Mbps bandwith in most cases. (from a branch to the HQ).
There is no need to have livestreaming all the time. I think that we need Recorders in every small room with motion detection. If something happens, then we will pull out the video through the Network.
What would you suggest? Analog cameras or IP?
DVR's or NVR's?
MPEG2, MPEG 4 or H.263 encoding?
Any brands suggested?
Sorry for the big post.
I am looking forward for your advice.
Thank you very much indeed.

How many total cameras and locations?
I would use a IP system with IPconfigure for recording and Axis cameras. IPconfigure can have unlimited cameras and users any where in the world. Just to give you an idea on the scalability IPconfigure won the bid for the US Postal Service. They will have there system in every post office in the US at some point.
Also with IPconfigure there is no client software to install everything is done though IE.
We are Ipconfigure partners and I can answer any questions you my have about there product.
PM me with any quesitons
