If your DVR has its webserver on the standard port, all you have to do is go into your router, and forward port 80 from your external IP address to the IP address of your DVR.

If they're using the standard port, that should do it.

If your DVR has its server on a non-standard port, you'll have to look in the manual to find out which port to forward. If you're using PTZ control, that may require an additional port.

You did not say what DVR you have, and maybe you can glean some info from one, or a combination of these manuals.

AVTech DVR network instruction manual:

or

or

Click on Gadspot IP camera (This is the closesest to an AVTech DVR).

The above link came from here:
http://www.portforward.com/english/rout ... rindex.htm

Scroll down to TP Link to see your model number.

Will this be enough to get you pointed in the right direction?

QUESTION: Why is there always enough time to go back and fix it right a second time??
