Hoping someone can help me with this. I have this dvr which i got through supercircuits. They don't really seem too up on the networking portion of the unit. I have it set up to update my ddns server every ten minutes since my dsl provider changes frequently. I can access great for a while and then the unit just stops updating the ddns server for some reason so I don't hav ethe current IP. It varies from 1 to 2 weeks until it stops. When i go back to the unit and reset things are ok again. I've ruled out the router and dsl modem. Any ideas?

DVR: dmr8 cd3 (made by neotech?)
S/W ver. 1.94 TN
H/W: Rev. C /ES5

You can find the manual for the DMR 8 here:

http://scorpiontheater.com/cpcamtechsupport.aspx

Scroll down until you see the picturer of the DMR 8, and then you can download a manual.

The DMR 8 is the AVC 785.
