is there a way of getting the cat wires straight to the back of this unit to work with ptz cameras. most ptz controls do so

but this one only has two serial ports that can be switched to mode rs232 or
rs 485 but no wire connectors.

i was wondering if the rs232 to rs485 converter would do the job
to get the pinouts. by switching it to rs232

quote this is some info from google that when you look or download the pdf file

Control up to 12 FastVu or 14 FastScan Series III receivers.
Setup and control all system functions.
Activate relays on remote sites.
Operate Pan, Tilt and Zoom (PTZ) telemetry stations on
remote sites.
Operate up to 20 PTZ receivers with FastVu or up to 100
PTZ receivers with FastScan Series III at each remote site.
Call up preset PTZ camera positions.
Activate PTZ receiver telemetry control including wash and
wipe.
Operate and control receivers over long distances

I guess you are using the PC Card, if so, you should buy a RS485 commutator...
