Looking for something that will replace a decent True Day/night IR Bullet camera (not a Color IR camera). Has to have an IR Cut filter for day (or equivalent) and BW mode for night. Will need to be able to see something in low light WITHOUT Infrared. I dont need Megapixel, this would be purely to replace existing CCTV day night bullets but add additional. In this case its difficult if not impossible to pull more cables and add more so would like to remove existing 15-20 year old coax (wasnt me LOL) and add UTP instead, maybe put a switch out in a box near each area of cameras and then go off from there with cat5 to each camera, so dont need as much wiring. Might even have to go wireless to those (from the office or security booth) but no line of sight so would need to repeat it around a couple buildings. Suggestions welcome. This is directly on the Atlantic Ocean BTW so it will get the full force of all that.
The property does have quite a bit of light actually in most aras, but Color IR cameras (which dont have a true BW mode) dont see that well with that particular lighting, but they do see; True Day night sees fine though in the BW mode and even color only in some areas is fine. Distances can be anywhere from 100' to 500', its a long property with 6 or so tall concrete style buildings.
Basically I guess what I am looking for is something like the CCTV True day Night bullet with IR but with a POE Lan connection instead of BNC/18awg. Camera does not need to have a built in webserver.
BTW, I was looking at the ACTi ACM-1431 which seems to do what I want, but is it any good? Also, it seems rather expensive, any ideas on any other brand for less or where to get it cheaper? Remember I pay 45% customs on top of expensive shipping!
Thanks,
Rory

Yes should be interesting .. weekend though so could be a while for replies
Man I spent 4 hours in the sun today (and the bush where camera was located, well it was on the beach also) .. the heat was unbearable .. in fact the past 5 days on another job got home dehydrated every night and with a mega migraine, the location had literally no shade and white painted walls (and ground) and the sun never went in. I guess another option is to use Video servers. I was thinking POE to make it simpler though .. yeah I just rather not work as hard in this sun and heat LOL. Really though just not having to connect the power wire can make a difference when you are on a ladder soaked in sweat and near passing out from heat stroke!! To make matters worse my jeeps AC doesnt work. Im thinking easier installs, easier to get cat5 cable here now also, and smaller server .. DVR Card server needs full PCI while with NVR can use any size PC.

May be u can reuse Coax by using Ip over Coax adapters

Rory,
Vivotek makes some outdoor day/night built cameras also.
http://www.vivotek.com/products/network_cameras.php
I haven't used any analog res cameras from Acti or Vivotek so I can't tell you how well they work.

thanks, good idea.
I searched down this 4 channel one:
http://www.veracityusa.com/products/hwquad/hwquad.php
Im wondering though what kind of distances they work up to, also any issues with bandwidth?

Here is info
1. I have one set running with Aver PC DVR
Run is about 350 feet of RG6 on 1.3MP Camera for last few weeks
so far rock solid
2. I did testing using 550 feet of RG6
was able to get between 75-80 Mbps
Company claim 100 Mbps full duplex up to 300 Meters
next week will be retrofitting customer
meaning analog cam "out" --- "IP" cam in
so far I love it

Just following up to see if anyone else has feedback on IP cams that meet or come close to the requirements Rory mentioned above (aside from the wiring challenges which appears may have an semi-easy solution).
I looked at the Vivoteks (thanks wireguys) and saw the PT7330 reasonably priced, relatively speaking, at a few places when I googled it.
PT7330 on the Vivotek site:
http://www.vivotek.com/products/model.php?network_camera=ip7330
Anyone have experience with it and/or other ones that come close to it?

That Vivotek is just a 1/4" CMOS which is simply put, useless for true day night applications. Also it has no IR Cut Filter. If anything it could compare to a basic Color IR camera. Its a pity though as it has some other nice features. they do have a couple with IRC but they are still CMOS.
