I want to start out with 5 wireless night vision cameras (4 outdoor 1 indoor).
I have a budget of around $1500, not sure where to start. I have wireless internet within the house, and I believe it will reach outside without issues too.
I've setup a few DIY Q-See systems that have wired cameras, never got into the wireless though.
It sounds like wireless cameras are called IP/Network Cameras, is that right?
I want to be able to record video from all of the cameras, whenever there is motion. If that is not possible, I would at least like to be able to get a bunch of still images taken.
I would also like to be able to watch the cameras over the internet.
Is this something that can be done for $1500? If not, what kind of numbers are we talking about here?
Is there some kind of base unit I should start with? I've seen a couple Axis cameras, are there other Network/IP cameras I should look at?
