securitymonster - 16 Feb 2006, 02:23 am
Indoor?
Outdoor?
Fixed Lens?

Vandal Proof?

Lets change it to $175

Outdoor, vari-focal B&W
Outdoor, vari-focal Color

Vandal proof a plus

It will be hard to determine the "Best" camera for that price as you will have to choose from an OEM model.

If your mother said she had $175 to spend on a dome camera for her house. What would you buy her?
securitymonster - 16 Feb 2006, 02:36 am
probably some new teeth

I see what I can dig up tomorrow in my database, I'm at home now!

How is the lighting? How low of a lux rating do you need?
PHOENIX - 16 Feb 2006, 02:39 am
flood lights at night. So the lighting will be good.

cheap color bullet camera, forget IR and forget Dome ...
There's nothing "good" about a dome at that price.

If you must have rock bottom product check out the COP USA line ... or somewhat better the Eclipse or MACE line ..

Personally, from experience, I can only suggest a Bullet camera at that cost as al cheap domes have given horrible images.

Nice dome darby7, I have never seen it in black before. Vitek has a white one and Arm electronics has it in a dark grey with 4 versions 420lor fixed and varifocal and 480lor fixed and varifocal. I have also seen it on ID View's website and a couple of others and I must say for the price it is a very nice dome especially the varifocals they have external adjustments.

The ICR 200 is a great little camera!

Hey Monster is that from IC's site?? Its looked black when I went to the link.
securitymonster - 20 Feb 2006, 11:40 pm
No, its the CDC3014IR that I have access to, but its the same thing.
JMANOFNVS - 20 Feb 2006, 11:51 pm
Do they have it in black? I kinda like the black better. What do you think?Does it fall within the specifications of this post? Hey Darby7 do they have a varifocal version?
kandcorp - 21 Feb 2006, 09:34 am
Here is the ICR-200 Black version of this camera with the Blue IR's

I think both of you already have the pricing. As of now ICR only carries the fixed 3.6mm lens version. But, the lens can be exchanged for 6, 8, 12mm.

Security Monster, I beleive they are different, this one is 1/3" Sony Super HAD, 480Lines. And sorry for the huge pic everyone.
securitymonster - 21 Feb 2006, 11:06 am
The camera I have access to comes in 4 different versions:

420 Lines Fixed 3.6mm
420 Lines 4-9mm Varifocal
480 Lines Fixed 3.6mm
480 Lines 4-9mm Varifocal

Just depends how much you wanna spend!

This is one im going to be testing out as its dirt cheap.
Notice the seperate windows for the IR leds. Sunkwang makes
an identical unit but i dont think this it as this is so cheap, but
it may still be and they just ordered alot of them. I know it
wont be like my sanyo or other Korean Domes Ive used
but the clientel are dirt cheap also ..
