I'm experiencing blurred images that look like the blur is moving and objects are distorted this system is in a gas station.
System spec's are: Dell GX240 SFF p4 1.7 (Intel chipset) desktop with 2 pci slots Nvidia Geforce MX 400 64mb probably uses Direct X. 7 256 sdram
320GB western digital, but some times the picture quality is good? I just don't get it. can it be that because this desktop is a Small Form Factor that the system is getting too hot and the GV card is acting up.

Also I started remote view and I networked another GX240 system same specks except this one has a ATI ultra 16mb agp. <-- as a client for the casher but the image on this system was even worse then the main DVR system.

I used a Cross over cable to network the two I tried a D-link router but there was absolutely no difference in picture quality.
Anyway please help if you anyone has ever come across this before.

you'd better consult the provider first

How does the picture look at the main program?
The image will be a bit blurred on the remote client depending on
your connection speed.

You think the Geo card might be at fault here?

On the main DVR system the picture quality used to be very good very clear but now it varys slightly sometimes whic is strange but I'm using a Small form factor case which I will replace with a 4u server case.

The 2 computers are only about 50 feet away from each other.

I was just wondering what effects occour when the GEO cards get too hot?

Have no idea about that. Never built a small formfactor Geo system.
I usually use as big chassies as possible.

ive used micro ATX without any issues .. cant speak for anything smaller than that though ..

Give us more details please.

Video Cable Type & Distance
Power Cable Type & Distance
Type/brand of Camera
Is Video on Test Monitor okay?

Also do you have any recorded video, as the
remote video is not an option for troubleshooting quality.

Thanks.
