I am trying to write a CCTV project using VFW for my final year.

May I know which card is the most generic, easy to use, and stable in the market? Best if it comes with detail API for its driver.

I think 4 input is sufficient.

I did read about the BT8xx, but seems like it is not very stable. How about Kodicom and KD-Net? Are they using proprietary card / chipset and drivers?

A lot of PC DVR cards use either the Brooktree or Techwell chip sets.

Please take the hardware compression cards into account,which adopts TI chipsets,which is very reliable and stable.
