Hi guys,

There are no changes that I am aware of.
You can put a piece of tape over the piezo device, just do not cover it up 100%. Let it "breath".
Then again if your are using alarm then that is what it is supposed to do. It is supposed to wake up the night securtiy guard so that he can take action!
Opps! Did I type that? I take that back! Most security guards are professional, and they are alway on their toes. There are the 1% who ruin it for everyone else!

yes, thought of that also. actually i make motion alarm for my front door at my shop as i'm always at the back. but 5sec sometimes not very comfortable. if can make 1 sec it will be great. just "beep" 1 times and i will alert there are customer at the front.

I wonder if you can cut the piezo and put in a "flip flop" circuit, and a way to reset it. This way you only get one beep.

The alarm output connection triggering a beeper via a common 555 timer circuit would work just fine. You should be able to buy a suitable kit at Radio Shack.
