CPCAM DVRs event record Question

   ( >> )

Hi Guys,

Iīve been trying to record using a CPCAM CPD501 using event record but if I try to to that for only one camera(I enable the event record for only camera one, for instance) the DVR records the same event for all the cameras at the same time, (camera 2, 3 and 4 trigger the same image).

Anybody have a solution for that ?

Thanks

I am not sure of your problem.

I take it that only camera one is "activated" for motion detection and the other cameras are recording camera one on to channel 2, 3, and 4.

Is this right?

Are all of the cameras "activated" for motion detection?

Are your cameras indoors, or outdoors?
What does your playback look like when you walk in front of camera 1 then walk in front of camera 2 and walk in front of cameras 3, and 4?

Camera 1 should have video of you walking in front of camera 1, and you will see video in cam 2,3,4 but this is not new video. If you are playing back a quad screen cams 2,3, and 4 will not be a blue blank screen.

Test the other cams as it might be showing the last recorded of each camera.

Are you saying that it is recording in a quad screen and you are recording video in front of the cameras with nothing going on?

Do you have a small hard drive and this is filling up the hard drive with video?

MENU
ADVANCE
DETECTION

Now move the cursor to the third column marked AREA. On cam one press enter. If the page is pink then this is not seeing "motion", if it is clear than it is looking for motion to trigger recording.

Try using masking (PINK) to block bushes, and trees that may be triggering recording.

Please note that a cloud moving overhead will block the sunlight and will trigger motion detection.

What do you think?

Hi Scorpion,

I will try to be more clear:
I got a 04 Channel CPCAM DVR, but i want to trigger events in only one camera each time
Letīs assume a building that have a camera in different floors and different rooms. All of them are in motion record mode and rarely someone passes throu the cameras, not at the same time.
I did the steps you described but i noticed that if i enable to trigger events only in the camera number one, setting a specif area for the event , the DVR still records a image for the cameras number two , three and four. I am considering that didnīt have any movement in front the other cameras.
How can I discovered that? If you record any event considering the scenario described before and after that i search this image and playback it all the cameras presents me with same image.
The purpose of tis question is if you have the event record and enable it only for a specif camera, you donīt want the other cameras recording togheter and spend disk space.
If i understood well, you said that the motion triggered in one camera, in playback mode, is showed in all the cameras but was no record for the other ones?
I did a test of backup of each camera of the same event (Only camera one event recording enabled) and equipment record in a Pendrive the same event.

Thanks

I wondering if you have manual record enabled?

Menu
Record
Manual Record enable (should be off).

Yes, Iīve already turned it off. It keeps the problem
The most interesting is that happens for all the models(501,505 and 507...)

I consider it a project issue

How many DVRs do you have?

Do you have a lot of business locations?
