CPcam CPD501 No Video

I just picked up a CPD501 4 channel DVR with Nuvico CB-SD3895-L cameras. When I plug in the DVR it makes a Beep noise and I don't get any video out of any port. I've tried using a VGA cable to my HDTV and a BNC to 75ohm converter to the same TV. Is there something I'm doing wrong.

I am not quite sure what problem you may be having.

I assume you have four cameras hooked up to the DVR.

I assume you have a bnc to rca adapter connected to the MONITOR.

With an RCA cable connect this to a yellow connector on your tv set.

Do not use the threaded connector on the back called the F connector. This is for an antenna, or for cable service.

If you do not know how to activate the yellow connector then try this article

http://www.cctvforum.com/cms_view_article.php?aid=41

Scroll down to "On some TVs to activate the composite signal it is a simple as ".....

Are you using NTSC, or PAL?

5.3 SWITCH N/P SYSTEM (ntsc/pal)

1) Press “Power” button on the DVR front panel to shutdown. Then, press
and hold “►“ first, and press “Power” to switch to PAL system.
(Press the buttons until the monitor shows video images.)
2) Press “Power” button on the DVR front panel to shutdown . Then, press
and hold “◄“ first, and press “Power” to switch to NTSC system.
(Press the buttons until the monitor shows video images.)
Note: Only Model 1 & 2 need to be manually switched between PAL and NTSC
systems. Model 3 & 4 will automatically detect PAL/NTSC system.

I was using a BNC to Coax adapter. I'll go to Rat Shack and pick up a BNC to RCA Video adapter.

Thanks for the tip.

That worked sorry for the long delay in getting back to you. I'm researching another issue and came back to this post.
