When I plug in the DVMR all it does is sit there and buzz. All the lights on the front panel are on. It wont do a thing.

Any ideas what I can do to get this working or is it toast.

Dave, do you see any video or do you have any control at all on the front buttons?? Most likely candidates are either the power supply that went bad or the embedded capture card.. Replacement of the power supply should be relatively simple.. however, if it is the embedded capture card, well, you are out of luck... GE will not sell you part for this unit..
