DVR Rack Mountable

Hi,

Looking for a rack mountable DVR under $1,000, bare with no hard drives. I want to add 2 PATA 750GB's myself.

Needs complete IP/network configuration with remote viewing via web, 4 camera or more hookup, alarm hookups, good image quality, CD or DVD burner is good, etc.

Again, the unit should be rackable or have a separate kit available. Any suggestions?

Hello,

Couple of recommendations I have are listed below.

[edit by mod-store link removed] <-- barely over $1,200 (sorry) but it is a 480fps unit with a dvd burner and all of the other features you're looking for. Very good unit with email on motion and a great amount of other features. (Mouse support also)

[edit by mod-store link removed] <---- $878.75 This unit is mpeg4 with good features on the remote viewer program as well as the unit itself. 120fps recording. CD burner is the option that this unit has also.(Mouse Support Also)

[edit by mod-store link removed] <---- Way under $1,000. Keep in mind this unit is only mjpeg and not Mpeg4 so the quality will be somewhat lower on this unit. The remote viewer features on this unit is software based and is "ok" but nothing close to spectacular.

Look over those 3 if you got any questions for me you can pm me or just reply to this thread for me.

Thanks,
John

I have never heard of the manufacturer of the product you recommend. "Hidden Visions". What kind of warranty do they carry? Has anyone else here used them?

Nobody on these forums recommends them, so I am a little hesitant.

Not Hidden Visions.... it's a dvr that CCTV Imports carries.
Warranty generally comes with it of a standard 1yr. Upgrading it is a possibility to up to 3yrs. All of the units are bare (no hdds) but make sure you tell the sales rep what you are looking for just to ensure that they do not make a mistake when selling you the products.

Thanks,
John

Then again you can use any DVR that you prefer, and use rack mountable shelves, and if you are really rich you can have a custom plate made for the front that will form fit what ever device you have whether it is a DVR, or a stereo amp, cassette deck, music server ect.

I tried to find a link that did not have prices, but I posted these for reference only.
