Note: This is not browser based.

Okay, so recently I figured out how to get Geovision on iPhone. Basically using VNC.

Step by step:

1. Download Mochasoft's VNC Lite application from the app store.
2. Download RealVNC free edition on your PC (4.1 at time of posting, just Google "RealVNC 4.1 Free Download", you'll get the free version - can't post a link [yet], so if any of you guys want to post the link to the download page, go ahead)
- The PC you use is up to you - I personally use my actual CCTV box, and that's the only one I've tested on, don't know if it'll work using the browser-based plug ins on a computer using the browser/client app.
3. Configure RealVNC using default settings (for simplicity, keep the VNC port at 5900, unless you know what you're doing - anyways, it's default)
4. On your iPhone, open up VNC Lite, put in the IP (of the computer) in the settings(at the moment, I've only gotten LAN working, but I don't see why it shouldn't work with an external IP)

The rest is just using the client on the iPhone to get to the GeoVision App.

Tested and working.

Things to know: EXTREMELY slow render, you'll be able to catch a person moving through if they stand still for a few seconds, but if they're constantly moving, you'll only get 'ghost images'.

hey got this to work except all camera images are pink. I've seen this when PC resolution is set wrong but I tried a bunch of different resolution but still pink. Desktop image and everything else is great. Any ideas would be great thanks. I have ver. 8.2 & xp

Got it to work kinda. In Full screen mode the DSP Overlay is turned on and that is why I was getting a pink screen, Turned that off and works good. Now another problem is that it works over wifi within same network. But won't work over internet outside thew network. I can see my desktop fine but if Geovision is on the screen it connects with a black screen then after about a min. a message says "Host has closed the session" I can't figure this out.

It probably has to do with port forwarding. Did you forward the VNC port on your router ?

Hi All - Had the same problem - several customers not able to even view still images on their Iphones or Treo's.

The problem lies in the Web Cam server which is looking at the browser tags sent by these phones.

I patched the webserver to allow all phones to at least access the phone mode.

Simple - install takes all of 10 seconds.

Can't post links yet (don't have 5 posts) but if you PM me, I can send the link.
