Anyone know if i can fit a spectra 3 dome drive into a spectra 2 external housing?

Couldn't tell you as I've never bought a spectra 2, but my best guess would be no.

My recollection is yes... just not the other way around (no old dome drive in new back box).
Anyway, one thing to consider is that you will lose some of the (new, fancy) features of the SIII but basic functionality will still be there as I recall.
TO BE SURE... Call 1-800-289-9100 and ask for a "more senior" Spectra support person.
