Hi, we are considering using this software to help us design cctv system. We are especially like the 3D view of the camera with respect to Person Detection, Person Identification & Plate Recognition.
Any advise from experience users on the pros & cons of this program?. Whatever comment is most appreciated.
cheers,
jay

I demoed it, it's not bad has a pretty good learning curve to it. I think the licensing cost is rather excessive.
In the end I would up using good old paintshop pro, it doesn't generate accurate FOV overlays and whatnot but it gets the point across to the customer or the installer depending on the situation.
I think it's very worthwhile software I just think the license fee is too great.

CollinR - I agree. I have tried this software - it is functional (even too much for me) but not user-friendly at all.
Instead of it I use the same PaintShopPro as you (ver 4.0 from 1996) together with beta-version of
this tiny software to calculate field of view, focal length and storage space.

VideoCAD is the best however :D . It is worth its cost. As a rule VideoCAD cost will be repaid on the first CCTV project made with it.
See an example http://www.cctvforum.com/viewtopic.php?p=92058#92058.
It is a little part of VideoCAD capability.
