This may be the wrong place BUT........ Has anyone ever used a slingbox(its like a cable box that lets you transmit tv signal via your laptop? i need some info.

Yes but I prefer SageTV, I don't do a bunch of streaming.

Slingbox is simple stupid to use, so it depends on what the audience is. For the non techie wife, it works great.
