I'm trying to help a customer out with a problem with playback from his DVR. It's an American Dynamics Digimux 4ch 320 Gb and has audio wired into it. It is networked and uses Digi Client software. We know the audio is being recorded but when playing back a stored file via Real or Media players the audio won't work. Our techies don't seem to be able to help as it's a new product for us and using audio is unusual.

Any ideas?

BTW, we used a mike off an AV60 bolt-on audio confimation system. Because it's powered, it has the correct output level for the DVR.

I dont know the machine your using but,ive lifted this from they're web site

Audio recording requires 8 KB per second (or 0.7 GB per day) for data storage.

the audio probably will only play back inside their player, as the audio file is normally seperate with DVRs ..
