Have ccd camera, using 6mm 1/3" cs lens, sony chip (i think)
Tried camera on plasma screen and tv. red is showing as purple. not a lot of red in picture at all.

if there is not a lot of red in the picture or blue I doubt it is phase but you could check to see if your camera supports colour phase and R G B changes but more likely, not strong enough a camera signal, either undervoltage or a really long run

i have seen this in older phillips cameras when back focal is set too far away from lens and cam is exposed to direct sunlight during some part of the day. have you tried directly off the cam into a monitor. this will tell you if the cam or the length of run is causing it. also, one braid touching the stinger (short) will cause color issues.
