I was wondering if I could take a 16 Channel chip from my GV-250 card and place it in my 8 Channel GV-800 card, would it work or would I damage the card?

This is a question you will need to ask GeoVision, or try yourself, most resellers arent going to mess with the chip on the card. Though i doubt it will damage the card, probably just wont work.
