hi people...

ive recently purchased an old gv200 card from ebay without any software and am having problems locating both a driver and a suitable geovision software version for it (i believe i will need a version 5 or lower software for this card unless i have a usb unlocking dongle?)

has anybody got any idea where i might be able to download or obtain such rare files?

thanks in advance

You got scammed, see if you can get your $ back. I'm usually not so confident but there is no authentic GV200.

I might be wrong but I kinda doubt it. :(

Ive never heard of a GV200 .. there is a GV250 though. If its that old that there once was a GV200, the newer GV250 is so cheap it would be worth buying one of them, even if it is used.

GV-250 cards can also run all versions of software, unless it is extremely old Version 1 board etc.

i assure you it does exist as i am holding one in my hand, its just quite old.

looks like geovision are going to send me the files as long as i send them a picture of it to veriy i actually have one.

how much would i be looking at for say a 4 channel gv250 card then? exactly how cheap are they? i paid £15 for this one....

I assure you the GV200 did exist, in fact before that there was a GV100, BOY HOW LONG HAVE I BEEN DOING THIS LOL

The thing to watch out for is that the ol 200 card used to use a ...wait for it.....Serial Dongle...later versions had it on the card itself, but I think that was only with the GV250, yes you will need the old software V5..but V5 had loads of bugs so prolly back to 4.2 for you...

I feel old now.....geez I rememeber when this forom started and Rory and I used to argue about Geovision....would you believe that Rory always used to state that he would " Never ever use Geovision as it is is crap" and that he would never do a PC based system install EVER
