i have a ge dvrme 600A ct16 that has a habit of rebooting randomly maybe once a day or less. the problem is when it reboots it comes on as a multiplex screen plus your going to miss recording for the time it reboots. Is this something a firmware can fix? the unit is a couple of years old with no warranty as it is a ebay unit. i also have a cbr cdt mux that does not mux in color although it does loop out in color?? any help is much appreicated.

I would update the firmware first ..

1. Are you using the WaveReader + LAN hookup with a constant valid IP ?
2. Are you using the e-mail notification features ?
3. Are you using the alarm notification feature to WaveReader ?
4. Are you using the intrusion motion detection on any cameras with a timed out buzzer alarm ?
4. Is this a recent problem that you know of ?
