Hi, All
I just built a dvr pc using a gv800 card. My set up is as follows, Mb Ecs pt800ce-a, Intel p4 3.0 800fsb, Wd 200gig ide, VC Ati 7000 64mb, ddr512 ram, benQ 52xcd, Os windows sp1 xp pro.
Everything went well the drivers installed all of them the software all installed without a problem. When I went to hook up the camera's 9 of them it started to pick them up and freezes up the pc it does it ever time . I have tryed it with just one then would add another the most I could get is three runing at one time. I'm running the 6.1 software from geo. Any help would be great I'm running out of ideas. And yes I installed direct X the newest version. Thanks in advanced.

Hi, from the looks of your spec, it looks like the problem is with your motherboard. From what i know, that protact mboard is VIA chipset, Geo doesn;t support VIA chipset for gv800. Its gonna be a pain in the ass but you'll have to replace the motherboard. We use the asus p4c800edeluxe after many recommendations from some guys on this forum. Also i would avoid using wd hdds, again read a few of the hundreds of geo threads, you'll see what i mean! And we were also recommended to use 2X256 sticks rather than 1 512DDR, you'll get better performance (dual ddr technology). Hope some of this info helped man, good luck!

hi
enable a 1st camera and disable all others first
setup rest of 8 cameras and turn 9 cameras on in camera setup

reboot jumper is rebooting your system on missing video detection
is 1 problem i seen that do that
