im trying to utilize the usb backup. found an old usb cable that is male to male, or female to female, the big one.. haha
anyway, when i click backup execute, it says please plug in the usb device...
is it the cable, or do i have to config something?

I havent tried the USB backup yet, was in a rush to get this in. Have another one at the shop now though to install next couple days, so cant test that.

Maybe make sure it is USB 2.0
Perhaps power down and power backup again with it plugged in.
Make sure the USB device is getting its own power.

What are you using as a USB device to connect to it?

Make sure its formatted in FAT32 not NTFS as the DVR does not recognize NTFS.
