Hi all
greetings
this is probably the wrong place to post if so apologies .

I would like to record movement inside my kitchen and outside the cat flap in the kitchen door. I would like to record it to a hard drive preferably on a deadicated laptop .

One of my cats has been seriously injured twice now whilst I am away at work and at night. I want to be absolutly sure that it is a roving Tomcat and not my other cat.

I have a 4 way USB camera input and a miniature wireless camera and receiver .

How could I ensure that I would only record when there was movement ie a cat comes through the cat flap? Would it be best to use hardware ie a pir or PC software? If software can anyone suggest something suitable please

i been using active webcam, it's a small program that i download from download com, and it's very cheap comparing to other surveillance software.
