Have a customer with geovision 800 120fps 16 card. He has 12 cameras and would like to have either 4 cameras per monitor or one monitor with the geovision camera display and two monitors with 8 cameras on each, can this be done? If so how? Thanks for any help.

As far as I know - the plexed display of cameras in the main Geovision app cannot be split across multiple monitors.

I beleive you can now program the DSP output to whatever you like, so if you have a combo card or a DSP card you should be able to set your output to one extra monitor in the display you want and obviously if you want the same eight cameras on the third monitor then you could just loop that signal out again

Or you can use 4 quads with a Geo Loop Card ...

DSP would be cheaper, but quad would be easier if you want to determine which cameras are on the second and third monitor and only if they differ....in other words if monitor 2 had different cams than monitor 3
but if they were the same the DSP would suit best

I havent tried it yet but i wonder if you had multiple video cards if you could select which one sees which cameras ...? Using the DMpos.exe file..

I'm new to this stuff and you guys kinda lost me here but I think this thread applies to what I would like to do.

I have a GV-1248 card with 5 camera's. Is it possible to have 1 spot monitor for each camera? I know I can output to a second DVI LCD computer monitor using the PC's video card but I like the clarity of a High-Res CCTV monitor.

Hi

You can do either of the following:

1-BNC T-Connector
Use one of these for each camera at the DVR or camera side.

2-GeoVision Loop out card
Loop out each channel to a separate monitor/quad/multiplexer.
