need help on buying new dvr system

hello

im thankful that i found this wonderful fourm before i decide to buy advr system

ihave store with 16 camera system mutliplixer system

its time to upgrade to digital dvr

igot this deal on advr pc system

hoberlab 240fps 16ch card 1 audio input
p4 3.0ghz
512 ram
intel mobo 845
500gb HD
mmatrox melinnum video card
2 21 inch screen ctr
the price $2700 installed with my old cameras on my store

now im expert in pc buillding since ive build my own pc
what u think i should buy the stuff my self and do it or let the companey charge me $2700?

the only proplem i have is to decide which card to go with atlest 240fps 16ch and atlest 1 audio input any suggestion for agood card with good price too?

Huperlab DVR boards are "ok", depending on what you wish to accomplish. However, the audio and video are not sync'd together during recorded playback of save video data, so it could be an issue when trying to read lips on video. Unless you have built a DVR (correctly) before, I would recommend you have someone else do it. The price depends on their level of service, and most of the time you get what you pay for.

i dont mind buillding my own dvr system i just can pick agood card for 16ch 240fps

Not bad for a 240 frame 16 channel system. just make sure the guy you're buying it from offers u the proper support.
