I have a customer who has a fixed camera and would like to convert to a ptz no problem with local power but it is a long underground coax run. Can anyone reccommend a control over coax solution. Have not quoted a specific camera yet and would like to control via geovision if possible :?:
Thanks

sorry, but you only can do it with PELCO Coaxitron, and you need a pelco DVR. To use a Geo, you need a translator, and it's going to cost you $$$

this "may" work, you could email them and ask ... its not that expensive.
You can send alarm signals, so you may be able to send pTZ data.

It looks like the VDS2700 would work great for this purpose. http://www.biwave.com/index.htm My only problem has been actually finding someone to sell them to me.
Does anyone by chance know of a source for the VSD2700 in the US?
Rory, do you know of anyone in the US that sells these devices?
