regular multicam works fine with dns alias, remote playback works but one cameras at a time.

i need viewlogs, just like we are at the system. but when i put the host where it says IP Address, it doesnt connect to the system

so dns dont work with viewlogs?

Make sure your not putting "http://" in front of the IP or DNS name and make sure your using the right port number and that those ports are opened up on both the DVR and the router. I hope that helps a bit.

I am putting the host name as i put when i connect to multicam view. or remote view.
but the viewlog file it just dont work for me
the default port comes up 5552
but i have set to different ports
tried 80, 4550 5550 6550
nothing worked

how old is your card if your can upgrade to version 8.1 then you can down load dmmutliview this allows you access to your viewlog as if you was in front of your system.

only thing you cant do is advance search feature

you need to open port:5552 i think
