what is the format used in GE's DVMRe maxtor hard drives?

"(some may have Linux, others FAT, others NTFS). What format is used on your DVR?"

I ask this question as my provider for 250gb maxtor 5400 rpm hdds is asking me this question, in regards to preparing them for my use in a ge dvrme?

any help is greatly appr.

GE DVMRe uses nucleus firmware... but regardless which one you use and if they reside on the hard drive or on flash cards, the better performance will exist on higer RPM drives... I you want to use 7200 RPM drives for your DVMRe, it will work great... The only time you should consider higher RPM not being supported factor is the power supply on the system... that may have to change to guarantee the necessary juice for your system and the had drives.
