whats causing this

lines all across the screen?

Bad Connection, Bad DVR, Bad Camera .. etc.
Also first make sure it is getting the correct amount of voltage.

Is that hard wired or wireless?

Also make sure the power is connected correctly like positive with positive and neg with neg on cam and power supply.

yes its wierd correctly i've solved this now the rca cable i bough off ebay is the culprit changed to the ps2 1 that came with a scart block clear pics

this is how it looks now its a lil blur due to me moving it but when its mounted after i can get hold of a new extension cable it will be blur free

Phil, that also could be a ground loop problem. But in a lot of cases, it simply a connection problem.

ok like i said its sorted i bought a 15m rca cable off of ebay swapped it with another its fine now. although no i gotta get a 10m - 15m extension cable preferably one that will carry the power as well as the video signal any 1 know where i can get this other than ebay? also the camera that came isnt the 1 i orderd it has audio as well how can i hook it upto my dvr card?

thats the old pic while i used a 15m rca cable i got cheap

now using a better cable as a test e.g ps2 cable there is no intereference
