If your going to have somebody install it or you feel technically inclined, go with the GE Concord 4. If your looking for a DIY with a bit easier programming, go with the Visonic Powermax+

HEY MONSTER YOU NEED TO LAY OFF WHATEVER YOUR ARE ON BECUASE YOU ARE TALKING ALARM AND HE IS TALKING CCTV. iF YOU WANT A QUALITY HOME WIRELESS 4 CAM CCTV SYSTEM BE READY TO SPEND AT LEAST 7-10K. IF YOU DO IT YOURSELF YOU CAN SHAVE OFF SOME CASH BUT MICROTEK IS MY PERSONAL FAVORITE. THEY HAVE AN OMNI-DIRECTIONAL SYSTEM THATS PRETTY COST EFFECTIVE. sINCE YOU ONLY WANT 4 CAMERAS MIGHT AS WELL GET 4 SONY SNCRX550 THEN ALL YOU NEED IS SOME GOOD SOFTWARE & DEDICATED PC OR NVR AND YOU SET UP PROPERLY BUT THEN YOUR LOOKING AT LIKE 2 TO 3 TIMES THAT AMOUNT.

Sorry, my bad. If you want wireless and your going to be penetrating walls, your probably going to want 900mhz for decent penetration but you might also lose a bit of video quality. The downside to 900mhz frequencies is that there is only a few available consumer level channels, so your a bit limited.
When you go wireless for video, its typically used for line of sight applications. Lets say you have a house with the recorder and you have a shop that you'd love to get a camera on but the shop is 300ft away. If you don't wanna dig/trench/lay conduit, then you would go wireless, but it needs to be line of sight.
Most Transmitter/Receiver wireless sets run about $1800 per camera. That might rule out wireless real quick for you.

Yep the cheap wireless gear you might find in say sams club, etc, will not work 1/2 the time . .. without flickering, interference, etc .. metal blocks signals, eg AC Duct, Iron Rods in the walls, etc .. Cellphones, other wireless equipment, will give you headaches as well. It's a pain, but hard wired would be much better for your indoor app.

ive used microetek for wireless analog and it was good.. those sony 550s are like 3grand a piece, prob a bit overkil for home.. take a look at the panasonic wireless cams, ive heard good things about them for home installs (and at 300bucks prob a good start, if its not what u need then goto a few grand a camera for microtek wireless and good box camera)
