    Wireless solutions

well its been about five years since I talked about the distance problem I had with a couple of cameras. I did implement the wireless stuff using some engenius outdoor routers. I had good luck for a few years with them and they just dont seem dependable now. I have decided to go with fiber and be done with it. There is just too much wireless signal around here with all the houses close to each other and everyone has internet and everyone has a wireless router and everyone is in my frequency. I could get the wireless N stuff but better off hardwired.
  3. how long have they been in the field? My setup will require outdoor on a telephone pole. The setup currently there is two ip cameras on each pole mounted about 2 feet below a streetlight into a poe bridge and then the bridge hooked into a outdoor router (setup as client bridge) and that connects wirelessly to a main router about 600 feet away. That wireless is just not as good as hardwired.
  4. I have some ip camera's that are going to need fiber run to them. Has anyone used the signamax converters in a weatherproof cantex box out in the sun. I am worried those converters are going to get hot in the box and quit working. Thought I might ask and see if anyone here might have some installs with these in a similar situation.

    Cctv housing

I dont get on this site much but I think I can help you. The housings in question should have came with a plastic or metal camera sleigh. The sleigh fits on the two rails inside the housing and attaches to the rails with four small screws. You can make your own from any thin plastic or thin metal. If you dont have one to copy search internet for a pic of one and you can fiqure it out. Hope this helps. I have a few old ones but dont know if they would fit your rails.

    Wireless solutions

I hear you on the grownups forum ha ha. I was always taught that if you wanted to learn about something and get good at it you went to the professionals to learn. You dont learn about making money from someone who does not have any, you learn from someone that has alot of it. I thank you for what information you give out because I know it is from experience not just some CCTV wannabe.

    Wireless solutions

I am new to the forum. I own a manufactured home rental community ( mobile home park) I have been reading your forum for sometime and about a year ago started playing around with putting security camera's around the park. My goal is to have these camera's, where I can monitor them from the internet. I would like to use a few wireless cameras because the cable runs are 5 and 6 hundred feet on a few of the camera's from where they will be recorded. I have most of the camera's on utility poles ( I own these poles) with street lights mounted five to six feet above the camera . My question is the wireless side of it. Seems the Texas Heat will have that wireless transmitter broke down by heat in no time. Have any of you worked or installed camera's that were placed in this condition and were successfull for a period of time.

I am a Mobile Home Park Owner and I live in Texas. I am interested in furthering my knowledge base of the CCTV systems. I am a beginner at best. My hobbies are working on my hydrogen production for my toyota truck and small electronic projects. I plan on building a system for my mobile home park to make my tennants feel more secure. I just want to say hello.
