    Geovision Question

Hi everyone, i have a little geovision question, we stopped using GV years back but still look after a few, we recently had to rebuild a machine after a drive failure and set fully back up, iv installed with the latest version on a GV800 12 cam. I'm having some motion detection problems in that something is triggering it even with a static image, now i can't 100% remember but I'm sure geovision had a thing that would highlight what was triggering the detection, i sure it was little yellow squares that would show what it could see was moving, any ideas or am i thinking of another DVR?

    Geovision Video Loss Problem

Hi guys, need a little help, i have a problem with a Geovision system iv just built, i have bought a used 12 channel GV800 v 3.51 card, was removed after an upgrade to a 16 cam i was told, came with v8.5 DVD, i needed a system at home so i got around to building it last weekend with V8.5 SW, i have 3 cameras and I'm getting random video lost on all of them, some times its one at a time and some times the lot, it only drops for a second then its back up, i have checked the cameras psu and have checked all connections and no problems there, intact i have just replaced the psi with a new 5A as was convinced it was that. Any ideas ? Card is Geovision 12cam GV800 v3.51. PC is, P4 3.06ghz, 512 ram, 40 gig system disk with XP Pro and a 160gb data disk, i know i need a some more ram but that would not cause it ? also there is no way this could be a fake card? i have added pic's to see, as far as i am aware no fake warns work with 8.5 sw? Thanks in advance Ian

    Picture Problem

no all connectors are crimped, i think it may be ground loop problem, the shop used to be two separate houses, the new cameras are in the second part and i have connected the new psu in there rather than run a cable back, they do have separate electrical supply's.
  15. i own a few shops which i have installed CCTV in in the past year, i have just decided to add another 2 cameras to on of the existing systems, i am having picture problems with the latest 2 cameras, i am getting a really bad picture on them, lines moving down the screen, poor quality in general, i have checked all the connectors and the cameras are fine, i am using rg59 cable and the distance is less than 30 meters. i normaly use ct100 and have not had problems with that but have ran out. in my other shop i am also getting some faint lines moving down as well on one or two of the cams. any ideas would be great
