Hi. One good system is the TVT … I have been using them for installs the last 6 years it also has one of the best apps available with full control over the system the only problem with that Swann system is the cameras won’t work on anything else how many cameras are you looking for and what type of property will be protected ? -

Replaced HDD and lost DVR configuration?
tomcctv replied to svaljak's topic in Digital Video Recorders
Hi it depends on your DVRs operating system …. In your case it sounds like an old windows based …. In this case settings are stored on the hard drive…….. hard drive is split in two known as a partition… one part master (for settings and operating software……. And other part is storage (recordings ) usually found on geovision or avermedia -
Hi yes it’s possible… you will need to have a recorder which uses a app

Business security cameras with zoom to read labels?
tomcctv replied to NoobCamera's topic in Security Cameras
Hi can you give more information are boxes on conveyer belt how fast are they going are you placing the labels on why go cloud when a recorder is better -
Hi it depends how your setting it from app it’s under resolution adaptation but you can also set the app on the unit >system and tick app live self adaptation how old is your system ??
-
Hi. Switch self adaptation off on your phone app …. Under local settings …… top left button. then go to a camera on your normal app screen …. At bottom you will see a square with a pic of an eye …. Click on that then click high definition then back to normal screen then again click the same box with eye in it and select super definition and that will then hold your settings other problems can be how your getting data to your recorder to router …. Is it direct cable or a Wi-Fi device
-
Hi not all recorders or switches have POE so a 12v power supply can be used instead
-
Hi $40 it’s a good option …… keeps your camera recording to the SD card …. So also a good backup option while no power
-
Hi this will have nothing to do with vms many cameras that go to default are not the settings you need …. I am surprised for that money the axis has no battery backup i had a problem like yours on another brand of camera …… no volume or home save on a ptz depending on the time your camera is down a ups supply might be a better option for you and not for a lot of money this is similar to what I used https://powerwalker.com/product/10120450/

tomcctv replied to nickmcdoug's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Hi …. I was up there last week ardrossan it looks like your using the old hik (2012) your new camera is not compatible as is out of the box ……. You will need to connecting to a computer and alter its settings out of the box it is h265 and 5mp you need to set to h264 and either 1080p or 720p for it to show on your nvr so in reality it’s pointless running a camera you have to downgrade the settings on is this for home or business use ? -
