  1. thewire: I hear you. How about without the keypad and RFID? Thanks for taking the time.
  2. thewire: I contacted them and the prices are way above our budget. (Close to $3000 for two doors). Technology for this should be a fraction of that cost. Does anyone have alternatives to e-data in the $200-$500 range? All we need are the relay switch and controller and two biometric access panels. Thanks!
  3. Hello, I am looking for a self contained access control system that can include two units/doors and allow 3 way access biometric/keypad/RFID in a quality metal housing. Any ideas which direction I should look in? Thanks!
  4. Greetings all, I need to do a couple of plenum runs and need to match siamese cable to connectors. I see that Markertek has west penn cable by the foot http://www.markertek.com/Cables-Connectors-Adapters/Bulk-Wire-Cable/Bulk-Audio-Video-Cable/West-Penn-Wire-Corp/252815.xhtml?WP-252815/P. What connectors would go with this cable? Thanks! P.S. Would anyone be interested in doing a couple of custom sized plenum cables?
  5. (This was posted today in digital general discussion, but might be better suited for this forum) I am looking at the following setup in a small office: 8 - cameras 7 - monitors 1- Hybrid DVR I would like to know if and how the following can be done with the least amount of extra equipment, if possible. 2 of my monitors are large screen LCD TVs that will have the feed from sat tv in one input and the CCTV feed in another input (probably composite or maybe HDMI). When a visitor presses the intercom button I would like the display to show the camera either in the TVs PIP or flash to that input source. Since this involves the intercoms the dvr and the tvs I was hoping someone bumped into this during their installs. (The intercom I was hoping to use is SIP based and will be connected to the company's SIP based IP PBX phone system - http://www.telephonydepot.com/Catalog/C ... P-Intercom.) Thanks!!
