    Avtech 674 & Remote View

Many thanks for the replies, I've got it sorted Now Amazingly the problem was with the router (Buffalo Nfiniti), although the port was open it wasn't allowing connection through it for some reason, my brother updated to a newer version of Buffalo firmware and still the problem persisted. Then he managed to get hold of a Custom Firmware, and it worked. So I had set everything up correctly after all. I must say that the remote viewing and playback really is a useful tool. Very Pleased. Also the custom firmware for the router is much better than the standard, and is laid out much better.

    Avtech 674 & Remote View

yeh I have been putting the http:// before the address. The dvr has no seperate ports for streaming or upload download, just "Port". This was originally set to 80. I tried changing it back to 80 and forwarding port 80 to it in the router but got the same problem. I'm baffled.
  3. Hi all, I'm looking for some help re. remote connection for Avtech 674. I recently connected the unit to my network with an IP of 192.168.1.10 on port 3063. The system works fine on my LAN, I can connect to the DVR on 3 fixed PCs and also wirelessly. However I can not view remotely over the web. I have a Buffalo Airstation router, I have forwarded port 3063 both TCP & UDP. Online port checking tools show the port as being open. But if I try to connect by inserting my ip:port I get an error saying internet explorer can not display the page. After reading on this forum I tried Rex Swains page http://www.rexswain.com/httpview.html and that brings back details of the DVR login screen. But I don't get that if I point my browser to it or video viewer software. Any ideas where I'm going wrong ?
