  1. I have searched the net with NO luck in finding pendant cap, power connectors or any other parts for American Dynamics Illustra 625 camera. Does anyone know how to find parts list and suppliers? Tyco/American Dynamics website is a joke for the end user. Doesn't even list their dealers that I can find. Not a wonder they are going broke.
  2. AD dv 16000 purchased through Ebay, OK derision will be accepted, however, how else to get to play with thousands of dollars worth of equipment for almost nothing? Problems encountered as follows: found cpu unseated, bent pins, heat sink grease used in great abundance and running between pins on cpu. All fixed requiring 2 hours of straightening pins. Now boots to intellex flash screen, flash screen runs for a minute or so then, hit f4 for setup appears. Appearing in setup are: Floppy, hd 0, cd, usb boot. Why not the other 2 HDs? Is IDE socket dead? There are no passwords set according to the setup selection. Is there some secret boot procedure that I should know that the manuals don't mention? I do not have cameras connected. Could the someone who unseated the cpu have shuffled the HDs? Is BIOS is reserving two of the drives for recording? Boot up shows HD 0 so looks like it should message "no os" instead of hit F4. This unit was built around 2005 according to the date stamps on some of the components. It has a video card with HDVI jack. The MB is Intel Desktop Board D865GBF. 256mb mem.. Any suggestion as to my next step would be appreciated. I am thinking I might pull the HDs and put them in another computer to see what is on them, try to find windows. In case the boot drive is dead or wiped what am I going to need to load to get er done? 007
  3. I have a ltc 0728 Bosch autodome mounted in a pendant housing. there is a 9 pin connector on top of the housing for the ptz control. I do not have the mating connector and I have searched the inet for weeks and cannot find even a reference to this connector. Does anyone have an idea where I can find this item or have an alternative solution to the problem. I passed my wits end last week sometime. may never recover bibble bibble..... Of coures I realize that if and when I find this connector my troubles on this DIY project will really begin.
  4. Thanks Shropna, I suspected as much and have found another deal on another camera complete with housing. It is a bosch LTC 0728/20 envirodome. Now i will begin to find out what is and is not compatable. I also have a power supply on the way. Ain't this fun? I wonder at the scarceity of backboxes on the web. I found only one for $165 + s&h, I paid $14 +s&h for the whole 0728.
  5. I will admit at the start I am an Ebayer, yes it is true. Due to that affliction I have in my possesion 8 LTC 0809 PTZ autodome cameras with NO mounting back box. I have been searching the web for a schematic or a pinout so that I can at least play with these things. Or if some has a backbox they want to get rid of, we may make a deal. The manual really sux and there is nothing that helps on the company websites that I can find. Anyone ever seen anything that may get me started? Jasbond
