  1. Thanks. I can't find any settings in the menus of the NVR to show whether they are in main or substream but I guess it's main as it only allows 2 cameras to show with the rest saying no resource. Is that normal for the 8ch to only show 2 in 1080p as it's meant to be 40mbps? The only way I can get it to looking less sharp on a TV is decreasing the TV's sharpness. Is this a common issue or something all NVRs are like?
  2. I've set it to 1080p in the NVR. I didn't want to play with the TV settings as I've never had to when connecting a device so wanted to make sure if this is normal for a hikvision nvr. I've also tried it on a samsung with the same result.
  3. Any ideas about this please? struggling with it. thanks
  4. Hi, I connected a Hikvision 7616 by HDMI set to 1080p to a 42" Full HD LG TV and it seems like the sharpness is too high compared to using the iVMS program on my PC. Is this normal for their NVRs? Thanks.
  5. Thanks Mindtwist but how can the 64ch show 64 cameras at 2MP 4mbps when the bandwidth is not enough?
  6. Hi, I'm finding it confusing which NVR to choose and my supplier isn't giving me confidence with their knowledge about them too so was wondering if anyone could please advise. I'm looking to get either their 32ch or 64ch NVR and I'm finding the bandwidth info confusing. In their specs for their 9600 series it says their 32ch and 64ch both have an incoming bandwidth of 160mbps. As the cameras will be set to 2MP at 4mbps, does this mean 160/4 = up to 40 cameras? If yes, why should I go for the 64ch model when the 32ch can do the same? Also, does that mean I can have all channels showing 2MP real-time in the live screen at the same time and also record that too? Thanks a lot.
  7. MaxIcon, thank you so much for your extremely detailed reply. I really appreciate you taking the time to go into such depth. Thanks!
  8. Thanks for your replies. I thought I read somewhere that Hikvision does, might be wrong then? I'm looking at the IPC-HFW4300S and the DS-2CD2032. Is night just as good as each other? I'll be recording them to an NVR from whichever of those 2 I end up getting. Thanks again guys.
  9. Having a hard time choosing which 3MP IR cameras to get. I believe Dahua use Aptina and Hikvision use Sony sensors for their 3MP 20fps models. Which would you choose? Thanks.
  10. Hi Everyone! If you had a choice between the two for best day/night, which would you go for? Then, day/night aside, which has the best WDR performance? Thanks!
  11. Thanks. For Ganz: ZN-C2M, ZN-D2MAP For CNB: IGC2050F, IDC4050VF Thank you.
  12. Hi guys, Looking to do an IP install for box/dome cameras and would like to know your opinions/experiences with CNB and Ganz IP cameras please as it's difficult to choose which to go for. Thanks.
