    Greetings from Lancashire

Congratulations on an excellent forum – helpful & informative. I have recently set up in business designing & installing CCTV throughout North West England. I hope to become a valued member of the forum and look forward to offering advice wherever possible & reading pearls of wisdom from those far more knowledgeable then me. Regards

    Discrete camera options

bpzle, I didn't say I was selling/installing Swann grade equipment. (I presume you're referring to my website which is still very much a work in progress.) My clients request was for a merger of his existing DIY installed "Swann grade" internal system with some new discrete external kit. He couldn't do it himself and so I got the opportunity to quote. (My Grandfather always told me - "never ignore an opportunity!") My customers would have difficulty buying from Woolworths in the UK anyway - they went bust ages ago. In the UK at present business is very tough and I firmly believe that my business will survive by offering a professional service that accepts the customer is always right - even when they are wrong. And I agree, I would prefer to supply quality kit - I actually offered 3 versions to suit his remit at different price points. None of which fit his budget! I'd be interested to know if you feel I'm doing it wrong? Paul www.sascctv.co.uk

    Discrete camera options

Hi Keeps, I'm looking at about £115 each! And the client wanted 4. But surprisingly didn't want to pay that much Paul www.sascctv.co.uk
  4. I'm thinking of attending IFSEC 2011 in Birmingham this May. Does anyone recommend it? What experiences do you have of it? Regards Paul www.sascctv.co.uk

New Build - Win 7 or XP

Win 7 for me. XP is stable but if the kit you're installing on is new then 7 will be a better fit. Paul www.sascctv.co.uk

    Discrete camera options

Hi guys I’m trying to source some discrete cameras for a client and wondered if anyone has any recommendations? One option I have considered is the FloodCam – a working floodlight with built-in hidden camera. Problem is they are too expensive! I was hoping to find the “false alarm box” type but no-one appears to make them anymore. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Paul www.sascctv.co.uk
