I have a Kantech kt-300 box. I am having issues with it. Before I begin, let me tell you I do not have a lot of experience setting them up. I have it set up to run through a usb-485. At first when i set it up all the LED did on the panel was flash. I did a hard reset (the way it said to do it in the manual) and now all it does is flash 4 times per second (hard reset to factory defaults). It does not seem to be communicating with the software. I forgot to tell you that it was hooked up and unhooked before (before i started with the company) and I am just rehooking it back up. from what I have been told is that it worked before. When I click on OPeration/site on the software it tells me the controller is not assigned. How do I assign it?

Hi, I have a Win7 system with GV 8.4. I am trying to get the text overlay for a POS to work properly. It is a ChaseMcKay POS. I have the settings set up exactly the same on the POS, Datacapture box, and DVR. Off the serial port I have a "y" serial cable attached to the pole reader and the datacapture box. If i hook it up to the parallel port with the printer it prints extremely slow. The info on the DVR is off by one. for example, when i scan the 1st item the change due line from the previous sale appears, scan 2nd item and 1st item shows up, etc.... I have used the hyperterminal off the POS and it reads fine, same as right off the datacapture box. Its after that that it somehow gets messed up. I am using the rs485 to a gv-com box then usb to the dvr. I have tried 3 different com boxes and all the same. I have tried different drivers and gv software but still off by one. any suggestions?

no no, video backup in geovision through the audio/video log. I'm just curious if there is a way to set up a schedule so it will automatically back up once a week on an external hd

Hello all, Does anyone know if there is there a feature that will automatically back up video to an external hard drive at a certain time each week? the software is gv-8.2 and 8.3 thank you
