    AVTECH & Vlc

This is the format you will need to use to view your avtech dvrs via vlc or any other h264 streaming app rtsp://yourip:yourport/live/h264/ch1 You can replace ch1 with whatever channel you want to watch. I don't know if this is old news but thought it might help someone here. In vlc just go to media/open network stream and just paste in your link and click play. You will have to enter the username and pasword 2x. I also don't know if this will work with noname h264 dvrs. Try it and let me know. Mike

Thanks for the tips. I'm going to leave it alone for now.

    Video Loss

That's a good idea. I'm going to buy 2 terminators and 2 bnc splitters and see if the terminators work if they don't i will just run the splitters. Thanks again for the tip. Mike
  4. I have a 4ch DVR and im only using 2 of the 4 inputs. I have my screen setup in quad view. Inputs 3 and 4 show video loss. Can i put bnc terminators (50ohm) on inputs 3 and 4 to get rid of the 2 blue boxes or is there a better way to put a dummy load on the inputs. My dvr has no way of making those inputs non active. Mike

Have a few questions about my DVR

I just noticed that if i resize the browser (2 finger pinch) on the android and shrink it down smaller it streams without any issues. Hope this might help other people having problems via 3g

Have a few questions about my DVR

Thank you. I just tried it using wifi and it works fine. So i guess im stuck with wifi only via my phone.
  7. This is my first post here. I went out and purchased what i believe is a linux embedded 4ch dvr. The model is a Truon DV8888. The problem i am having is when i view the dvr over my andriod phone (3g service t-mobile usa) i get the first couple of frames of the stream and then it drops out leaving a static image that never updates or changes. The port i'm using is 8050. The DVR uses eagleeyes for smartphones but i use the standard browser already on the phone. When i view the DVR over the net via my pc or any pc it is fine. What am i doing wrong, i tried different ports from what i read on here and that still did not help? I think this DVR is a clone or an rebadge of another popular model. If it is what firmware can i use on this to try and update it? Thank you for any and all help. Mike
