  1. Does anyone know if there is a trick to getting remote access to the A1001? I forwarded port 80 http and it still shows the port is closed when I go to www.canyouseeme.org I went into the Axis setup and tried changing to port 81 and 82 with no luck. This customer wants to have the ability to sifn into the web interface from his office which is offsite. I have been portwarding cameras for years so I know what I am doing. Am I missing something in the Axis setup menu? Any help will be greatly appreciated!!
  2. Hi everyone! I have an issue with an Axis A1001 2 door controllers. I installed this for a client about a year ago. Has been working fine until recently. There are times when the exit button or the hold up switch installed will not release the maglock. Just random times. I have the lock powered by the panel itself using POE. I am thinking that may be the problem. The RTE is a lighted model also which draws current as well. Do I need to run a seperate power supply for the lock? I can do so easily and use a relay. Point is that the instructions look like powering one maglock can be done without a seperate power supply. Any ideas or comments?
  3. Im guessing no one knows of any.
  4. Hey everyone. Has anyone had any luck with adding either Hikvision or Dahua ip cameras to a Vivotek NVR? Specifically the ND8322P. I LOVE this NVR as it is the only one I have found so far with built in fisheye de-warping funtions. Would like to use my tried and trusted brand cameras with it though for future installs instead of being tied to Vivotek. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
  5. A tour is a path you can program in for the camera to follow. Once done, it will swing back to the origin point and start the tour again. Real easy to set up. If you need directions let me know and I can walk you through it.

    Question on Cameras

Looks like a re-branded HIK Vision. In which case they are very nice IP cameras.
  7. Hey all. Hopefully someone can help me out here. We are starting to install alot of fisheyes for our commerical clients. Up until now we have been using GenIV Nvrs (Dahua) with HIK IP fisheyes. Everything works great, but I am getting complaints that they cant de-warp in the NVR interface. All they can see is the native 360 image. For de-warping they have to use the Smart PSS VMS which works great. Does the HIK NVRs have a de-warp function built in to the GUI or are we stuck using VMS to fully use these to their potential? Thanks!!

    Pelco Spectra mini dome

I guess I should have mentioned that all the new cameras work fine. Just the specters won't move. As far as control wiring, each camera has it's own control wire run all the way back to the dvr. At the dvr I have a terminal block tying them all together and going into the ab block.
  11. You guys were such a big help on my last issue so here goes again. I added 19 PTZ's to an existing 3 PTZ system. The existing units were the Pelco units. I am getting vieo but no movement at the dvr. At the camera I have used my tester and have video and movement, no problems. Just to be sure I used a tone generator on the control wires and get a strong tone at the dvr end. Addresses also match up. Any ideas on why these wont move? I hear pelco is notorious for being uncapatible with other dvrs. I am using GenIV Technology dvr and have never had a camera that wont work with it.
  12. Do you a website to refer me to that would explain the 120 ohm termination? A diagram would help. Thanks so much!
  13. I have all rs485 ran through termial blocks
  14. Still can't figure out why some of the 19 PTz units go berserk when I pan and tilt at the same time. Pan alone, tilt alone, or zoom alone everything looks good. But when I move the joystick to where it pans and tilts at the same time, the picture flashes or blinks on and off. Any ideas?
