    Camera Selection 1/3" 700 vs 1/4" 1000 TV Lines

Dear Don Stephens, thank you once again for your feedback in this matter. Now, about Longevity, it was going to be my next question to you, but you answered already. I will definitely go for the Sony CCD for all the reasons we discussed. Also, are you familiar with the "auto tracking" feature? Is it something like Digital Zoom to the moving object? I hope I can disable this feature via the OSD..

    Camera Selection 1/3" 700 vs 1/4" 1000 TV Lines

Thank you again. The sony is also sligltly more expensive, but, i dont care too much about that. I am going to install these cameras in a very close family member and told me to go for the BEST! so...do you suggest to select the Sony, despite it is 300TV Lines less than the CMOS? To conclude: 1/4" CMOS 1000Tv Lines < 1/3 700TV Lines Sony CCD, is that right?

  5. Hello everyone, I have set an 8 - Channel CCTV system. I would like to send the Output Video signal to 2 TV's, both of them have an RCA Input (Yellow). I am thinking of Using an RCA Splitter from the output of the DVR and send the signal to the Monitors. The Distance for the first Monitor is 20m and 30m for the second one. I am about to use a Simple Coaxial Cable (like the TV antenna) and terminate it using RCA connectors. is it going to work? Iam reading lots of stuff on the internet but I can't conclude which on is the best or the appropriate one. Any help will be appreciated, thank you. George

    GV 600 access from Internet!

Hello! For one time more I am gonna need your help! Here is the deal! I have Configure Geo System as an HTTP Server. I have open from my router a port and I have map it to Lan Port 80 (HTTP). From my Home PC I can access the Geo System at my work (via browser and Multiview) and view the Webcam Interface. However, when Loading the live stream I get a message "Can't Connect to Server" and here I am.... Why is that; I have correctly forward a public port to a lan Port, I can connect but no live stream.. Please help! thank you George

    GV 600 access from LAN

Hello again, first of all sorry I am so noob but I am very-very new to all these things! Initially, I thought that in order to make another PC in my Lan to act as a "viewer" of the Geo System I had to enable the Twin Server setting. After some experimentation I found out that the the Web Server Tab will do the Job. Now I can view my cameras from my browser by typing the IP address of the Geo and also from the Software multi-view that came with the Geo. Now I am trying to understand about the Twin Server Setting. What does it do? When I am opening its windows I can only change the Port number and to search for UPnP router (by the way, I have enable UPnp in my router and still it says no UPnP device found). So, in simple words, what is the operation of Twin Server? It will do my Life easier if I set up correctly? Once again thank you for your patient. George

    GV 600 access from LAN

I have disable windows firewall in both machines. I have turn Twin Server ON I am typing the address in the browser but nothing happens, page fails to load Edit: I have just enable the HTTP Server and its working via the LAN. But really, is it supposed to work with the Twin Server Service; What is the defference between them?

    GV 600 access from LAN

Hello everyone! First time visiting you site and becoming a member! Just 2 days ago I set up a Geovisio GV-600 System. I am very happy with the Quality and everything! However I have a little problem! The DVR card is set up on a Server PC on my local Network. What i want is to access the Geovision System from another computer on the SAME LAN. I tried to do so via the Twin Server but nothing. What I am doing is to enable the Twin Server and then from the other PC on my local network I type on mozilla browser: 192.168.2.2:9056 but nothing happens. What am I doing wrong; Thank you very much! George
