1. Hi all. Ive had this sitting about for ages and thought id install it out the back of my property today. I was going to use this as a demo for a business startup i never did. Its been sitting here for about a year. I tested it fine about a month ago. Now after trying to install it outside its not getting an ip. I brought it in and connected it directly to my sky router. When i connect to the router and see attached devices its not listed. I have checked the cable and tried another cat 6 as well as cat5e cable i had knocking about. both work with my other ip cam. Nothing with this ptz though. When i first bought this ptz it had a similar issue and jetview connected remotely to my pc and got it working so i should be able to do the same? It is the same as uk item number 291061582442 on ebay. I cant work out why its not giving the router any sort of ip. It powers uo and does the spinning startup then does all the normal working noises ? The lights both connection and activity on the router are lit up (orange and green ) as well as are flashing. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance
2. [/img] These are 1080p and 2mp so should be pretty good using a standard wide angle lens. I have a selection of lenses though and normally mount them insuide the top of my windows. I just make a cat 6 cable to where i want to go and end it with the poe splitters if needs be as shown in previous posts. They are becoming so cheap you just cant knock them - ebay 26quid search HD Mini IP Camera 2.0MP 1080P Indoor Security CCTV ONVIF2.0 P2P H.264 Wide Angle Im not affiliated with anyone i just have a few cams and have setup a few. Ive recently bought a 2mp ptz but dont fancy it getting wet lol (its still in the box after i played with it a bit!). Im currently trying these. I have the old analogue ones and they serve me very well on an 8 ports dvr at 700tvl. I have 2x 3mp ip cams out back garden (onvif) and run the kit through seperate poe 8 port hubs assign 1x per rear and 1x per front as well as internal house network.
3. Hi all, im going to upgrade my exsisting coax setup which has 4 cams. I already have three i.p cams + a ptz ip i have bought. I was going to use my pc but have decided to use a nvr box instead so its always on. Im thinkning i could either use a spare pc or buy a nvr to work. Im pretty sure the cameras are all onvif i have and they range from 3mp to 5mp. Ideally id like somethign i can use upto 8 cameras on and record about a months worth of data. Im happy to fit my own hdd to something. any recommendations? budget upto £300ish with no hdd's £450 with hdd. Ideas? thanks guys
4. Yes i know . im replying to myself. So i got ispy working ok all recording. Still want to update the cameras firmware as you cannot view it or edit any admin settings as the firmwares so unstable. Picture qualitys ok (much better than analogue.) although with a zoomable ptz i suppose you would still edge this out unless it has the right lens on it. Have ordered a poe 8 port hub and cat 6 cables to run a 2nd netowrk around the house in conjunction for a while to see how it fairs and downtime etc.
5. Hi all. Was thinkning of upgrading my aging kit (an eight channel 2xd1 6xhd1 analogue with 500gb drive) to i.p cams. I managed to grab a 2 mega pixel dbpower camera of ebay just to poke at however. The firmware only seems to work on 1 out of three pc's ive tried so far (firmware version 1.8.1.1n-201305061355) heres an image of the camera http://i234.photobucket.com/albums/ee131/hipflask01/_12_zps69e3e06e.jpg anyone help with a link to new firmware for it that actually works? i go round in circles googling it. any help would be gratefull.
