  1. Ok, my network at home has all cams, computers, printers, NAS, and all other devices assigned static IPs. I do have a small number of IPs assigned using DHCP. When I unplug my DSL, the network goes down. How can I keep everything functional without using the internet?
  2. Hey 51cents, I am not sure how to block internet or port forward...All my cameras are on port 80, each with static IPs starting with 192.168.0.70 thru 192.168 0.83, my dhcp in my router is limited to 192.168.0.200 thru 192.168.0.220, all other connected devices to my router have static IPs
  3. OK my 2032 bullet cam reverts to the factory IP, each time BI is started. I use SADP and see that the factory setting is 192.0.0.64, serial number is DS-2CD2032-I20150327CCCH509199913, IPv4 gateway is 0.0.0.0...I change it successfully to 192.168.0.73, gateway 192.168.0.1, BI then sees it. But is a few days the IP in the cam changes back to default and BI cant see it. If I plug the cam into my computer, change the IPv4 connection to 192.0.0.2, and gateway to 0.0.0.0, and go to my browser, I can see the CAM at 192.0.0.64. Do you guys think this cam is never going to keep the IP setting?
  4. Ok, My system is connected to a 10mbs dsl line as most of us have. I have 10 cameras on my system, with two computers, 2 TVs, wifi cell phone. Running BI the download speed slows from 10mbs to 1.5mbs, basically I can't stream Youtube on my computer. Is this feasible...run two subnets one to each gigabit port, using two routers, one with no dsl so no internet, but put all cameras on this, the other router for internet using the dsl. Probably the computer has two ports into the mb, but the throughput is probably only 1gigabit, which should be fast even so. So i can't see the cams remote, but I can live with that.
  5. I have been looking for a bullet cam with 2.8mm lens but haven't found one. Most of my cams are Hikvision 2cd2032....I like this camera, works well, I do have Dahua similar to Qsee bullet but is 720p...I installed a 2.8mm lens on it, but unable to focus well enough...I may try and install a 2.8mm lens on one of my Hikvison 2032 3mp cams. I can find a vari focal 2.8-12mm camera Hikvision, but don't really need the vari...just 2.8mm. I know Hikvision makes a 2132 turret cam, but looking for a bullet...any suggestions?
  6. My cameras are Dahua qsee 7001b, with dedicated 12 supply ( not POW). Unspliced Cat 5e cables about 100ft. Using Blue Iris, with all cameras set to a fixed IP, same for computer. Main Router IP is 10.0.0.1, cameras range 10.0.0.70:85 thru 10.0.0.75:85. Each frame of Blue Iris displays date/time stamp. This time stamp displays time in H:m:s, and scrolls every second. About each minute or 90sec, the time stamp stops and freezes for about 20 seconds following a loss of video signal of about 1-3 seconds. This occurs on every Dahua camera. I have a Hikvision DS-2CD2032 hooked up and this camera doesn't lose the video. Any ideas?
  7. I have a Qsee DVR that has 4 RJ45 ports but the software can support 4 additional cams using my router switch. I have 3 cams in the DVR. I plugged in a offbrand IP cam...dericam onvif capatible...used the dericam config software to set the ip of the cam to 10.0.0.70, gateway the same as my router 10.0.0.1, port 85, the software Qsee says cam 1 is 10.0.0.66, cam 2 is 10.0.0.67 cam 3 is 10.0.0.68. I manually added the cam 4 to the Qsee software as cam 4, 10.0.0.70, port 85 same as all cameras and DVR. Cam 4 doesnt display...cables are ok. The Qsee screen says " 10.0.0.70 Can not find the network host", as a message on the cam display in grid CAM 4. Maybe someone can point me in the right direction to make CAM 4 function.
  8. Hi, I wish to delete selected video clips and sometimes just copy a selected clip...how do you do that? The Costco rep said it wasnt possible...that you have to reformat if you wish to delete a clip...if that is the case, then this system is behind technology 30 yrs...pre DOS era.
  9. Hi, I have been reading some about changing lens, especially on this mini bullet camera I have. It has a 6mm lens...I would like a 3.6mm lens. The fitting is M12. I notice some posts mentioning IR corrected, and IR cut filters. Most lens I see on ebay or wherever, do mention an IR lens, but never do they mention IR corrected. I guess what I am asking: Where do you get a IR corrected fixed 3.6mm lens? And if you don't, is it really that far out of focus day VS night? Does the IR cut filter change any of the focus plane day vs night? by moving the IR plane closer to the daylight plane?
